Dear Mr. Kelly, I stand by the brave survivors who have spoken out about the monetization of their abuse and trauma by major pornography companies. I join the National Center on Sexual Exploitation and the dozens of organizations who have been pleading with you for years to stop buttressing a violent, criminal industry. Time is past due for Visa to cut ties completely with MindGeek and other pornography enterprises like XVideos, XHamster, and OnlyFans - all of which are rife with child sex abuse material, images of sex trafficking and rape, and image based sexual abuse. Stop supporting them and all of their affiliates, including their advertising arms that bring in significant portions of revenue. Why did Visa only take action when it received bad press? You only acted after New York Times exposés on Pornhub and XVideos.... and recently after the decision by a federal judge to keep Visa in the lawsuit against Pornhub, as your company is "alleged to have continued to recognize as a merchant an immense, well known, and highly visible business that it knew used its websites to host and monetize child porn.” When will you do the right thing because it's the right thing to do and not because of negative PR? Mindgeek entities especially, the owner for Pornhub and over a hundred other porn sites, must be cut off as they've proven to be unable to prevent abuse from happening through their site. Amex made the decision a long time ago not to process payments for pornography. PayPal has cut ties with several pornography companies. Mastercard has insituted more stringent rules, including age and consent verification measures and has stopped processing for XVideosRED. Why can't Visa? Please live up to your ethical responsibilities and stated values. Stop facilitating and profiting from sexual abuse and exploitation.
